SILVER PLATING
Silver plating is white matte to very bright in appearance. It has good corrosion resistance, depending on the base metal. Silver will tarnish easily, therefore some applications require a anti-tarnish to be used.
Solderability is excellent, but decreases with age. Silver is one of the best electrical conductors. It has excellent lubricity and smear characteristics for anti-galling uses on static seals, bushings, gears, etc. Its use has been increasing in both decorative and engineering fields, including electrical and electronic fields.
